Part of Peter’s job as a cowboy artist is knowing how to handle a horse, and having the right horse for the job. So some of his time is spent preparing his horses for the next shoot. They need to be calm and ready for all of the challenges along the way. Peter photographs from the saddle of his horse a lot of the time. These are pictures of a new horse that Peter is working with getting him ready for things like getting on and off a trailer. It seems pretty straight forward but things can go wrong in no time. Peter has to have his horses at ease with traveling and being steadfast for him as he rides and photographs.
